Privacy Policy

Overview

Forge is an iOS workout planning app. Core planning and logging work on your device. Optional features, including account sync, Strava, StoreKit purchases, advertising, and AI-assisted tools, use the services described below. We do not sell or broker your data.

Data Stored on Your Device

Forge stores the following data locally:

  • Workout plans, exercises, and scheduling details
  • Workout completion history, strength logs, and app preferences
  • Imported plan content from photos you choose to provide
  • Goals, sleep logs, equipment, favorites, and focus exercises

Optional Account Sync

You can use Forge locally without signing in. If you choose to sync across devices, Forge uses Firebase Authentication with Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email sign-in. Account identifiers and the workout data you sync are used to provide that sync feature.

Optional Integrations

Forge only connects to these services when you choose to use them:

  • Strava - Used to import or share workouts after you connect your Strava account.
  • StoreKit - Used for Remove Ads and Forge Pro purchases. Apple processes payment data.
  • AI-assisted tools - Used for user-initiated plan parsing, exercise tools, and Forge Pro form checks. Requests may include the text, photo, or video-derived inputs you explicitly submit for that action.

Advertising

Forge is free with Google AdMob banner ads. The app may ask for App Tracking Transparency permission so AdMob can determine whether personalized ads are allowed. If you decline, Forge continues to work and ads are served without IDFA-based tracking. The one-time Remove Ads purchase hides banner ads permanently.

What We Don't Do

  • No sale of personal data
  • No background scraping of your photo library
  • No automatic posting to Strava
  • No payment card storage by Forge

Permissions

Forge may request these permissions:

  • Camera - Optional. Used when you choose to import a workout plan from a photo.
  • Photos - Optional. Used when you choose an image from your photo library.
  • Microphone - Optional. Used when you dictate AI plan-builder messages or record videos that include audio.
  • Speech Recognition - Optional. Used to turn dictated plan-builder messages into text.

Data Retention & Deletion

Local data remains on your device unless you remove it in-app or delete the app. If you enabled account sync, contact support to request deletion of synced account data. You can disconnect Strava from Forge or revoke access from your Strava account at any time.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we will revise the effective date above.
