support@clarved.comFrequently Asked Questions
How do I choose which days my alarm repeats?
When creating or editing an alarm, tap the day circles (S M T W T F S) to toggle individual days. You can also tap the Weekdays, Weekends, or Every Day presets for quick selection.
How does Skip Next work?
Tap the Skip button on any alarm card. Rise will silence the very next occurrence of that alarm, then automatically resume the normal schedule afterward. You don’t need to remember to re-enable it.
Will my alarm sound if my phone is on Do Not Disturb?
Rise uses time-sensitive notifications, which are designed to break through most Focus modes. Make sure time-sensitive notifications are allowed for Rise in Settings → Focus.
How does the Apple Health integration work?
If you enable it in Settings, Rise logs a wake-up event to Apple Health each time you dismiss an alarm. This helps you track your wake-up consistency over time. Health access is entirely optional.
Does Rise collect my data?
No. All alarms and settings are stored locally on your device. No account is required and no data is sent to external servers.
Why do I need to allow notifications?
Rise uses local notifications to sound your alarms. Without notification permission, alarms cannot fire. Go to Settings → Rise → Notifications to enable them.
Can I have multiple alarms?
Yes. You can create up to 8 alarms, each with its own time, day schedule, label, and sound.
Is there a snooze feature?
Yes. When snooze is enabled for an alarm, the notification includes a Snooze button that delays the alarm by 9 minutes.
What are custom alarm sounds?
You can describe any sound you'd like to wake up to — gentle ocean waves, a brass bell in a cabin, birdsong at dawn — and Rise will generate a seamlessly looping ~11-second alarm tone for you using ElevenLabs' text-to-sound-effects service. Each generation is a one-time consumable purchase ($0.99 for one, $3.99 for a 5-pack).
What happens if my custom sound generation fails?
If a prompt is flagged by moderation or the provider returns an error, your credit is automatically restored and no sound is delivered. You will not be charged twice for a failed generation.
How do you review custom-sound prompts?
Every prompt is checked against OpenAI's moderation service before we ask ElevenLabs to generate audio. Prompts that produce hateful, sexual, violent, or otherwise unsafe content are blocked. Your typed prompt and your Apple purchase receipt are the only data transmitted to our servers; no personal information is collected.
Can I delete a custom sound I no longer want?
Yes. Long-press a custom sound in the sound picker and tap Delete. The audio file is removed from your device. Already-spent credits are not refunded, but any unused credits from a pack stay available for future generations.
